  	MOTYER, Imogene M. "Gene" Otsego, MI Passed away Thursday, May 29, 2003 at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo. Jean was born May 2, 1925 in Battle Creek to James and Alice Gaines and had lived in this area for many years. For 44 years she was employed as a Nurse's Aide with area nursing homes and for 5 years worked at Bronson Methodist Hospital in the kitchen and baby formula room. Her favorite hobby was collecting dolls, and she had over 700. She also especially enjoyed her many pets. Surviving are 2 half brothers, Tony Gaines of Battle Creek and Jimmy Thompson of Kalamazoo; 2 sisters-in-law, Gwen (Lyle) Perry of Cedar Springs and Shirley (Doug) Eham of Stevensville; and her adopted family, Roger and Jamie Austin of Otsego and their children, Jarrod, Cody and Lance. She was preceded in death by her husband, Derwin Motyer in 1998, and by her dear friend of 44 years, Rose Smith in 2003. In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place and there will be no public visitation or services. Memorial contributions may be made to.
