Canadian Forces Station Gypsumville, commonly referred to as CFS Gypsumville, was opened in 1962 as a Pinetree Line radar station by the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF), and supported as a mini-base until 1987 when the then Canadian Forces Station Gypsumville closed down.
