  	Her ashes were scattered in the Susquehanna River, near her childhood home in Towanda, per her request.  Her memory of that river was among the few things she remembered in her declining years.  Their home was literally up close & personal to the Susquehanna.  She truly loved that place.   	My mother died in Richmond VA, at the Laurels of University Park, a long-term care facility.  My sister, Marilyn, lives near there. My mother suffered from Alzheimer's disease, and her last years were not kind to her.  So her passing was really a blessing. We are having a memorial service for her in Canton, PA,  on 12 May 2012.  Canton is the town where I grew up, and is a place my mother loved dearly.  It is also the town where my grandmother, Myrtle Motyer (wife of Henry), lived, for about the last 10 years of her life (she died in 1965). We will be scattering my mother's ashes in several places in the Bradford County PA area.  My mother always cherished her Bermuda heritage, and because of that, I always felt there was some Bermuda in me.
