Not much info is given on the marriage certificate which seems strange, there is no mention of any parentsor occupation or anything. The minister was Joseph Hale of the Ireland Island Wesleyan Church and the witnesses were a Ralph D Wilson and an Emily D Wilson. Something about the marriage certificate does not seem quite right. On January 6th, 2022, Adele Janine Motyer (Grassl) passed away after a long battle with lung cancer. She was 62 years old.
She was the loving mother of 5 children, Jennifer Wipf (Toby) of Brooks, AB, Michael Grassl (Jazz Jenvenne), Davey (Erin), Mandy and Breena Motyer of Calgary, AB. She will also be dearly missed by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brothers and sister. She was predeceased by her mother and father Ardith and Joseph Grassl, grandfather and grandmother Alice and Hugh Helwig.
It would be wrong to say that Adele lost her battle with cancer because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined. When anyone else would have broken, Adele stayed strong. She devoted her life to her children, grandchildren and many, many others. She will be remembered for her love of animals, baseball and gardening.
A memorial service will be held at Choice Memorial, 105 - 4715 13th Street NE, Calgary, AB on January 13th, 2022 at 1pm. Her burial will be held at a later date in the spring along with her mother and father at Rocky View Garden of Peace Cemetery. | GRASSL, Adele Janine (I6806)
