Kevin Robert BOWKER, born 11 Apr 1984
Anne Margaret BOWKER, born 12 Aug 1986
Laura Maud BOWKER, born 6 Aug 1988

Anne Elizabeth GIBBONS was David's Mom, and her 2nd husband was a Capt. John Robert "Bob" BOWKER (married 11 Jul 1958).  I am assuming that those 3 children were from a relative of Capt. John Robert "Bob" BOWKER, and they came to live with him & Laura "Ruthanne" LUSH at some point.

127 (Research):Elizabeth is missing from the 1891 England Census with her family, who were living in 1881 in Kensington, London, England, so although I have no proof (she could've been visiting relatives at the time, or away at school, or married by then), I assume that she was no longer alive by the 1891 England Census. BENJAMIN, Elizabeth (I5271)

128 (Research):Email from Sue (nee Aplin) Butchers on 01 Apr 2009:

Frederick Angel Motyer married May Mary Ann Beaumann in Q3 1918, in Southampton.  May Mary Ann Beaumann was born in Q2 1884 in Winchester, Hampshire.

May Mary Ann Motyer returned to Southampton from Canada in Oct 1921 on the "Scandiavian" with her 10 month old son John ("Jack") Motyer.  That puts his birth either end 1920 or early 1921.  He is not listed in the England birth index for that period, so may have been born in Canada.
MOTYER, John Angel “Jack” (I793)

129 (Research):Email from Sue (nee Aplin) Butchers on 01 Apr 2009:

I am pretty sure Joan Aplin's middle name was Lily, not Lillian.  Her mother was Lily and she is listed on the ships manifest (the MV "Dumana" as Joan Lily Aplin when the family arrived back from Ceylon in Sept 1925.  At the time Joan was 3 months old, which is why I think she was born in Ceylon (in those days, most families only came back on leave every 4 years or so).  There certainly doesn't seem to be any record of her birth in England.

134 (Research):From the death certificate we find Ephraim died at the age of 33, making his birth about 1826.  He was a mariner, and died in the presence of Patience Sampson (possibly his sister).  Two sons, John Fletcher & Ephraim Jr., were recruited as stonemasons to go to Bermuda, to help in the building of the dockyard, about 1870-1875.  This was following the war of independence by the then American Colonies.  Having lost her American Colonies, the UK felt the need for bases in the Atlantic, to protect her interest there.  Both boys stayed after their contract was completed, married local girls and, in due course, raised families. MOTYER, Ephraim (I152)

143 (Research):His birth year, death date, and burial location, are a WAG (wild-ass-guess) on my part.  All that I had on him was his full name & nothing else, from way back on 5th November 2005 (almost 2 decades ago).

There is a Find-a-Grave record for a G Motyer, born in 1917, died on 29 Feb 2004, and buried in Ireland.

In my database, I have his sister Elizabeth Emma MOTYER (last modified 5 March 2024) as having been born about 1915 in England, and died 2016 in England.  That's 2 years before this Find-a-Grave record shows G Motyer as having been born, so the time-frames are similar.

So for now, I have linked this Find-a-Grave record for G Motyer to this George Edwin MOTYER.
